Free Introductory Yoga Lecture

Free Introductory Lectures On Yoga are offered weekly, discussing the techniques of Hatha and Raja Yoga which are taught at the studio.   During the 45 minute lecture we give a complete orientation of our classes  which allows potential students to make an informed decision before enrolling.  These lectures will be offered on the following days:

People around the world have practiced yoga for thousands of years, and millions of Americans currently enjoy its health benefits. Yoga is an effective, low-impact form of exercise that involves integration of every muscle, organ, and cell of the body to help to bring balance to body and mind.

WHAT'S NEW?

BREATH, STRETCH, RESTORE, IS AVAILABLE  MONDAY THRU FRIDAY AT 10:30AM!  SEE CLASS SCHEDULE

Our purpose is to help bring the subtle balance between mind and body through the practice of traditional classical Indian Hatha and Raja Yoga.  The basis of our unique practice is Viniyoga which is a more practical and much safer approach to taking Hatha Yoga.  This includes dynamic as well as static postures and integrating the essential principles of breathing with the movements.  Thus we protectively fit the yoga to the student, not the student to the yoga.  Any adaptations or modifications are designed specifically for that person's practice.  Raja Yoga is a combination of meditation, class discussion and short lectures.  This allows the student a more complete understanding of their practice.  We also encourage students to develop independently by distributing weekly lessons for home practice.
